He learned how to cook from family members and by watching cooking shows on TV. Every year since 2009, Chef C.J. has used his culinary skill to raise money for Speech and Language Development Center, a special education school and therapy center in Buena Park.

This year’s, “Dinner with Chef C.J.” is Saturday, Sept. 13, and begins with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. The dinner is hosted by Bobbie and Jim Stovall at the Anaheim White House restaurant. The White House was bought by the Stovalls in 1981. They restored it and opened the restaurant which they sold to Italian chef, Bruno Serato in 1987. “Speech and Language Development Center is a great organization that does incredible things for children with special needs.”  Bruno said. Bruno is known for his philanthropic work in Orange County.

The event is open to the public. Individual tickets for the four course fundraising dinner are $200 each. Tables and sponsorship opportunities to support Speech and Language Development Center are also available. Call 714-821-3620 ext. 264 for tickets or more information.
