Quirk-Silva becoming consensus candidate for Assembly

65th Assembly District Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva has announced receiving endorsements from the California Federation of Labor and the Orange County Business Council for her 2018 re-election campaign.

“I’m proud to have OCBC and the California Labor Federation supporting me,” said Quirk-Silva. “I think this says that people like working with someone who has a teacher’s values. I work hard at listening, treating everyone with respect, and finding solutions that are fair. That’s a pretty good way to bring people together.”

Quirk-Silva spent over 20 years teaching in the Fullerton School District prior to being elected to the Assembly in 2016. She is the former Mayor of Fullerton and served in the Assembly from 2012-2014.

The 65th Assembly District includes Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, La Palma, Stanton and most of West Anaheim.
